IIT Bombay one of the premier institutes of science and technology in India, known for the high quality of knowledge imparted to its students and its cutting edge research presents the Techfest 2010. Techfest was founded in the year 1998 with the dual aims of providing the budding engineers and scientists of the country a platform for sharing ideas and celebrating science and technology. The brainchild of the eminent Professors and a motivated group of students of the institute, Techfest is an organization managed by the students of IIT Bombay, working on a non-profit basis.
Techfest has previously been graced by long list of luminaries including Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (Former President of India), Mr. Narayana Murthy (Chief Mentor, Infosys), Prof. John Nash Jr. (Nobel Laureate), Dr. R. K. Pachauri (Chairman IPCC), Joint Winner of Nobel Peace Prize 2007 and Eric Chivian (Noble peace prizewinner). This year they have invited Mr.Vic Hayes, Father of Wi-Fi Technology (Senior Research Fellow, TU Delft, Netherlands) for the lecture series.
Neso Desk India is the education partners for this event. This will give Neso desk India a chance to have a one on one interaction with the participants by setting up a Study in Holland kiosk and distributing information about various higher education opportunities in Holland. Techfest receives 60,000 students from 2,100 colleges from all over India. We shall get visibility to a huge number of students and give direct counseling.
