Utrecht University Partners India: Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; Jawaharlal Nehru University; National Brain Research Centre; National Centre for Biological Sciences; University of Hyderabad
The following instruments have been established with Utrecht University partner universities in India.
Short Stay Fellowships: This is specifically for excellent PhD students from India to visit Utrecht or UU PhD students to visit India for 3 months. Applications must be sent in by a Utrecht University supervisor and therefore interested PhD students from India should find and contact a possible Utrecht supervisor (via the UU website). Open for applications: deadline 15 January 2010.
Utrecht Asia Visiting Professorships: Utrecht will fund visiting professorships in 2010 to strengthen the ties between UU and their Utrecht University Partners. Applications to the UU Executive Board must be sent in by a Utrecht University researcher and must be within one the 15 UU research focus areas. Open for applications: deadline 15 January 2010.
Utrecht Asia Seminar Series: Utrecht University will sponsor several seminars in 2010 to strengthen the ties with its Utrecht University Partners in India by bringing top scholars together in either Asia or Utrecht. Applications to the UU http://www.uu.nl/uupublish/homeenglish/tussenpaginassce/internationaloff/40700main.html Board must be sent in by a Utrecht University researcher and must be within one the 15 UU research focus areas. Open for applications: deadline 15 January 2010.
Student Exchange: At central and at faculty level Utrecht has numerous student exchange agreements with partner universities in Asia at undergraduate and graduate level and is setting up new initiatives in India to increase the mobility of the students of Utrecht University and our partners.
