DIS 2010 a resounding success

On Saturday 13 November more than 2000 students attended the Day of the International Student in The Hague to enjoy an exciting programme and – most importantly – to get to know one another. The event was marked by a positive and lively atmosphere from start to finish.
In his welcome speech at the World Forum, Nuffic’s Director-General Sander van den Eijnden expressed gratitude on behalf of the Netherlands for the fact that so many international students have chosen to study in this country.
His speech was followed by a second word of welcome from Ingrid van Engelshoven, Councillor for Education in The Hague. She welcomed the students on behalf of her city, which has helped to make the Day of the International Student possible through a significant sponsorship contribution.
