Honey as alternative to antibiotics

Medicinal honey kills bacteria that are involved in wound infections, according to tests of an Amsterdam-Wageningen research group.
"More and more bacteria become increasingly resistant to antibiotics", said the Amsterdam microbiologist Paul Kwakman in the newspaper. This growing resistance is a major concern.
Honey could be an alternative to antibiotics in the future for treatment of wounds.
