CSTEP and TU-Delft sign MoU

On 25 June, in Bangalore India, the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), a Bangalore-based think-tank, and the Next Generation Infrastuctures Foundation, Delft University of Technology (TU-Delft), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize a partnership that will facilitate the development of modeling and simulation projects, chiefly in the realm of policy analysis.

The two institutions look forward to “cooperation in advanced research and dissemination of knowledge on the planning, design, operation, management and governance of infrastructure systems and the innovation of infrastructure systems and services.”

Signing of the MoU

The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. Margot Weijnen (middle), Chair of Process and Energy Systems Engineering at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management TU-Delft (and also the Scientific Director of the Next Generation Infrastucture in Delft) and CSTEP Director Dr. Anshu Bharadwaj (left).

Chief Representative of the Netherlands Business Support Office in Chennai (of which the Nuffic Neso Desk India is also part), Mr. V. Vijay Kumar (right), thought this collaboration to be especially important in the realm of infrastructure support.

“At the Business Support Office, we encourage business and institutional cooperation between Indian and Dutch entities. The MoU is a definite step in the direction of research in urban infrastructure and other such related areas, where simulation might be used effectively.”
