Nuffic is the expertise and service center for internationalization in Dutch education, from primary and secondary education to higher professional and academic education and research. The role Nuffic plays is that of intermediary between the higher education community of the Netherlands and the international community. For this purpose, Nuffic has foreign offices – Netherlands Education Support Offices (Nesos) – in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam. Being one of Nuffic’s eleven overseas offices, Nuffic Neso India is part of a worldwide network of Neso’s.

Nuffic-Neso India (Bangalore)

Nuffic-Neso India promotes Dutch higher education in India while at the same time giving Dutch education institutions insight into the Indian student market. They also provide support by facilitating institutional cooperation. In addition, Nuffic Neso India provides generic information on possible study programs and internship places for Dutch students and institutions in India. Moreover, Nuffic Neso India strengthens the ties of Indian alumni with the Netherlands, thereby creating a global community of ambassadors for the Netherlands. In addition to these activities, Nuffic Neso India develops tailor-made services at the request of Dutch education institutions as well as business. The office is in The Netherlands Consulate in Bangalore wherein Nuffic Neso India closely collaborates with each department.

Nuffic Neso India’s core activities are:

* Generic promotion of study and career in the Netherlands (both off-line and online)

* Student counseling for Indian students

* Alumni activities, with students who have returned to India

* Market research

* Support of incoming mobility to India

* Develop tailor-made activities on the specific request of stakeholders

 

Job summary

Education Promotion Officer (EPO) works on online marketing, student counseling and other key activities such as managing the Orange Tulip Scholarship. The online EPO will develop, implement, track and optimize our online marketing campaigns across digital channels. In addition to online promotion, EPO’s will help the team in counseling on “Study in Holland” to Indian students, their parents and other parties that play a role in the decision making process on study abroad issues.

Tasks

* Contribute to the formulation of the annual plan and report with regards to online promotion

* Create new and innovative online marketing strategies which strengthen the position of our office “Nuffic Neso India” and the brand “Studying in Holland” and ensures that traffic increases

* Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database email, social media and display advertising campaigns.

* Manage the Neso India-website

* Measure and report performance and conversion rates of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPI’s)

* Collaborate with the head office in the Hague to improve landing pages and optimize use experience

* Develop, maintain and collaborate with key stakeholders such as agencies, vendor, Dutch education institutions

* Maintain the database of prospective students and make sure it is of high quality and up to date

* Provide information/ counseling to prospective students and other stakeholders (e.g. parents/lecturers) about the various possibilities for studying in the Netherlands (in person, via phone, social media, and e-mail) and on matters such as rules and regulations, visa, finances, social security, etc.

* Work closely with the Education Promotion Officer, the Liaison Officer, and Alumni Officer and develop/implement annual promotion plans together.

* Initiate, develop and execute new (online) projects and services that cater to the Dutch and Indian education sector and business sector

* Contribute to the formulation of the annual plan and reporting the progress to the Chief Representative officer. Collaborate with the colleagues in the Consulate of the Netherlands and the head office in The Hague to develop services and projects

 

Job qualifications and requirements

* Minimum of 5 years’ work experience, ideally in an international organization or a business organization

* BS/MS degree in marketing or related field (preferably obtained in the Netherlands)

* Demonstrated experience in leading and managing, PPC, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns

* Demonstrated experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.

* Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Adverts)

* English language skills (both in writing and in speaking) on a professional level

* available for travel (about 6 times a year in India and once a year to the Netherlands)

* Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated experience in identifying and initiating new projects and services

* Creative and out of the box thinker and able to work both in a team and independently. Flexibility to adapt to changes in the Organization

* Strong communication skills and ability to set up new projects with organizations that fall under the Embassy and Consulate of the Netherlands

* Able to deliver under pressure and deadlines and works with a sense of urgency

* Strong networking skills and being able to use the network to realize organizational goals

* English language skills (both in writing and in speaking) on a professional level

 

Position & salary

The Online Education Promotion officer is a full-time job positioned directly under the Chief Representative of the Country of Nuffic-Neso India and therefore reports directly to her. Exact salary will be determined based on experience and education background.
