Below is a list of frequently asked questions about the Orange Tulip Scholarship. If your question does not exist, please send an e-mail to ots@nesoindia.org

1.Can I apply for an Orange Tulip Scholarship? 
If you are an Indian citizen, if you intend to study in the Netherlands at the Foundation, Bachelor or Master level and if you have been admitted to a Dutch university or are in the process of enrollment, you can apply for this scholarship.

Please check the general terms of the Orange Tulip Scholarship and check the specific requirements requested by sponsors in each scheme.

2. If my university and / or study program is not on the sponsor list / scheme, can I register the Orange Tulip Scholarship? 
Not all Dutch Universities offer Orange Tulip Scholarship and apply only to university courses listed on the Scheme page Any list of colleges offering OTS each year can change. 
 

3. Does Nuffic Neso India help with the enrollment of my university course study program? 
No, we do not help the admission process to any Dutch university or higher education institution. We provide information and steps that you can easily follow to apply to one of your destination universities.
 

4. What level of study program can apply for  Orange Tulip Scholarship? 
The level of courses included in the OTS scheme varies from one university to another. It could be just one of the Bachelor / Master / Doctoral programs. Did not rule out, there are universities that offer OTS for Undergraduate and Masters programs. Another example, in the OTS scheme 2017/2018 there are institutions that offer OTS for the Foundation program (prior to admission to the degree program).

In addition, the courses offered are also different. Please note, not all study programs / faculty in the university that you are going to be funded by OTS. So it's important to look at the OTS institution / college-specific pages.

5. What is the nominal funded Orange Tulip Scholarship ? 
The benefits / nominals offered by each university that have different OTS program. Although there are Dutch universities that offer a 100% (full) study fee, other colleges may only offer 50% reduction in study fees or only 25%. It is possible to offer only live expenses or visa fees, etc. Click the name of the university within the scheme that will open a special page with details of the scholarship value (in the table).

6. When is the deadline for Orange Tulip Scholarship registration deadline? 
The deadline for registration and submission of the Orange Tulip Scholarship to Nuffic Neso India is April 1, 2017. For some schemes, the time limit may be before or after the OTS general deadline Please read the deadline statement on the page of each scheme.

7. In what form should I submit the registration file? Where to send it? 

The Orange Tulip Scholarship registration file ONLY needs to be submitted in softcopy:

  • in Word or PDF form
  • each file is given a clear name in English: [document name] - [applicant's name]. Example: CV – Rahul Sharma
  • total attachment maximum 2MB
  • sent via e-mail to ots@nesoindia.org with subject e-mail: OTS 2018-2019 Application - [scheme] - [your name]. Example: OTS 2018-2019 Application - [name of Dutch university / OTS scheme] – Rahul Sharma


Please note that you yourself must take care of the admission process to one of the courses at Dutch university. 

Make sure you receive a confirmation email that we have received your application. Confirmation email will usually be sent 1-2 weeks after delivery. Please call back ots@nesoindia.org or contact our office directly. This is to prevent your app email from being not delivered properly.

8. Can I start the Orange Tulip Scholarship registration process if I have not been admitted to Dutch university? 
Yes, you can start OTS registration now even though you have not received Letter of Acceptance, provided you have started the registration process to the destination university. Important to remember, sometimes there are universities that require you to get the Letter of Acceptance when registering. So you need to look at the "Required document" section on every university page in the OTS scheme.
 

9. I already have Conditional Letter of Acceptance from Dutch university. Can I start Orange Tulip Scholarship registration? 
Yes, if your conditional Letter of Acceptance  is from a course at a university of OTS participants.

 

10. How to show " Proof has started registration " to register Orange Tulip Scholarship? 
Enough with email screenshots from the university (OTS participants) stating that your registration documents have been well received and processed immediately.
 

11. Can I apply for two universities / programs in the scheme? 
Yes, please send the required documents separately to OTS email. 

 

12. How do I know if I succeed or fail to get Orange Tulip Scholarship? 
After Neso India receives OTS selection information from sponsor (university / company / ministry), Neso India will send e-mail to you.

If you successfully get a scholarship, the e-mail will also be sent Offer Letter (letterhead Neso) informing the university / company / Ministry of scholarship, type of scholarship and major scholarship. If you accept this offer, you must sign the Offer Letter and return it to Neso India (softcopy PDF form). If you decline this offer, you must send a reply e-mail stating you declined.

If you are on a waiting list, Neso India will send you an e-mail stating you are on the waiting list. 

If you fail to get a scholarship, Neso India will send you an e-mail stating you failed. No statement from sponsor to be sent.
