NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences offers two Master's Programmes in the fields of International Hospitality & Service Management and International Leisure & Tourism Studies. NHL Stenden is one of the most reputable institutions in Europe for courses in the field of Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality not the least due to our excellent links with industries. 

NHL Stenden Master's degree programmes are characterized by a strong connection between education, research and employment. NHL Stenden host the Academy of International Hospitality Research (AIHR) and the European Tourism Futures Institute (ETFI) both enjoying an excellent reputation within the industry. You will be actively involved in one of these research units as a NHL's Master's student. NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences has added a unique international partnership to its Master of Art study programmes by signing a Dual Degree Collaborative Partnership with the University of Derby (UoD) in the UK.

The dual award contains a Dutch MA degree and the British Master of Science (MSc) degree. This is the unique way for graduates to distinguish themselves in the tourism or hospitality industry and the great opportunity to expand their international network. The degrees are offered in a 14 months programme. You are free to either choose the single or dual degree.

Requirements for applying to a college / program are addressed

  • Academic:  min. Bachelor's Degree (Bachelor's degree (Master's degree is also allowed)
  • English:  TOEFL iBT or IELTS min. 6.5
  • GPA : 70% or equivalent
  • Work experience:  Not Mandatory
  • Additional requirements : Candidates holding a bachelor degree in a related field of studies and/or work experience within the hospitality, tourism, leisure and/or events industry will be prioritized during the final selection process/
