Total number of scholarships: 2-3 depending on the quality of the applicants

Total value per scholarship: maximum €9.000 (about 30-50 % of the tuition fee)

Eligible programmes: all MSc programmes excluding the MSc International Management/CEMS programme and the MSc Finance & Investments-Advanced programme.

NB: The scholarship only partly covers the tuition fee and does not cover living expenses. More information about daily expenses can be found here

*Note: This scholarship is meant for prospective students only, thus, this scholarship is NOT meant for currently enrolled RSM and EUR students and is NOT meant for students with an EEA nationality. Please also check the scholarship section of our FAQ's for additional information.


  • Bachelor's/Master's degree
  • TOEFL iBT (Minimum overall score 94, minimum sub-score 22 (Reading, Listening and Speaking) and sub-score 24 for Writing) or IELTS (minimum overall score 7.0, minimum 6.5 on all sub-scores) or 
  • CAE or BEC minimum grade C or CPE minimum grade C1
  • GMAT (Min. score 600)
  • Applicants are expected to have obtained a GPA that is equivalent to a 7 out of 10 in the Dutch education system, which is considered to be above average. Please note that the RSM Admissions Manager will ultimately decide whether a GPA is sufficient or not. See for various GPA examples here
  • All OTS applicants have to show a min. GMAT score of 600. No exceptions allowed. For some of the MSc programmes additional requirements are applicable. Applications which do not contain the above mentioned documents will not be taken in consideration. Please check here for the detailed selection criteria, deadlines and how to apply online.
  • Please note that we can only take a scholarship application into consideration if: (1) it is complete and meets all of the requirements on 1 March 2019 at the latest, and (2) an application for the MSc programme is submitted through the online application system of RSM, called OLAF.

More about Rotterdam School of Management

RSM offers 14 pre-experience Master programmes (MSc). Our 12-month programmes are: Accounting & Financial Management, Business Information Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship, Finance & Investments, Global Business & Sustainability, Human Resource Management, Management of Innovation, Marketing Management, Organisational Change & Consulting, Strategic Management and Supply Chain Management. RSM also offers the 16-month programme Master in Management programme aimed at graduates with non-business bachelors. Besides that RSM offers an 18-month MSc International Management, in corporation with the CEMS consortium and a 16-month MSc in Finance & Investments Advanced programme. These two programmes do not qualify for an Orange Tulip Scholarship but applicants can qualify for other scholarships offered by RSM.

All of the full-time programmes do not require working experience and are, depending on the programme, open to students with a bachelor degree from a research university in business administration, engineering, finance, economics and accounting and other disciplines. The Master in Management programme is open to graduates with bachelor degrees from research universities in any discipline. All programmes are taught in English.

RSM is located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second largest city and largest commercial port. As an integrated transport hub, Rotterdam is reputed as the gateway to Europe and thus serves as the ideal setting for a premier, international business school.
