Aerospace Engineering (Aircraft Design with Honour's track in Aircraft Structures)

As kids, we were always told : “Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise!”

Now when I look back at the years that I have spent so far in the University, I have to say that progress isn’t made by early risers; it’s made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something! Well at least that was the case for me!

Part of being an engineer is to figure out how to do a specific task in the least amount of time possible, otherwise how the hell do you go to all the parties in the Space box common room, Marcushof... or join your friends for a few drinks in Beestenmarkt, Tango... whilst being stuck with a hundred thousand deadlines?? These parties/outings are what made Delft seem alive and more like a student city... Some excellent times spent with some great friends!

When I leave Deft, one thing that I surely am going to miss is the repeated attempts of the University to utilise English as a means of communication – starting from the often hilarious announcements at the Aerospace Faculty to literally translated lectures given by certain lecturers, which often reminded me of the translations given by Google translations or babelfish!

The articles appearing in the English section of the TU Delta and the VSV magazines were also a regular source of entertainment – contradiction and interestingly formulated propaganda being part of it!

The most interesting diversions were the emails full of ridiculous question from prospective Master students from my home country:
“Is TU Delft coming to?” No, I am an idiot that’s why I study here!!!!
