1)     Why did you choose Holland?

One of the reasons I chose The Netherlands is that the universities have high rankings. Moreover, the course content of my study stream was elaborate and industry oriented. Dutch universities have the reputation of being research intensive universities and a degree from one, gives your career a new dimension.

2)     What was your first impression when you landed in Holland?

I came to Holland during winter which was very cold for someone coming from a hot and humid country. My first impression was ‘Gosh...it is very cold in here’.

3)     The people...

People here, are very friendly and open-minded. They are very inclusive and would always ask you to join them in any fun activity. If you don’t know Dutch, they will immediately switch to English to make you feel comfortable.

4)     How did you choose your course/university?

My choice was based on my Bachelors program, which was Computer Science and Engineering. I had worked for 2 years in IT and wanted to move on to Business.

I choose University of Twente based on World University Rankings and the course content of BIT. Moreover the University has an image of being an “entrepreneurial University”. BIT is the best suited course for me.

5)     How is your current education system different from that being followed in India?

The education system in The Netherlands is not text book intensive but discussion intensive. The aim for the student is first to gain and share knowledge and securing marks is secondary. Furthermore, group assignments form an integral part of every course.

6)     How do you think your study in Holland will help you with your future endeavors?

My study in Holland will help me gain industry focused knowledge in BIT which, in turn, will assist me in getting a job in MNCs.

7)     Would you recommend Holland as a ‘Study Destination’? And why?

YES, I would recommend Holland as a prospective Study Destination because of the education system and its quality. It is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. Not to forget that almost everyone knows and speaks English here, which is a huge plus.

8)     Your most cherished memory in Holland so far...

The first snow fall when everything became white in a matter of an hour....

9)  Would you like to take up a job in Holland and live there, if there is an opportunity?

I would definitely give the idea due consideration.
